Here's that pic of Bo Huff's '57 Ford we were squawkin' about. 1990?. Upon finding it, we remembered that we already showed it to ya several years ago anyway.
Donn Lowe's flier was attached to his book order. You know this guy and his work and if you don't....well, you do anyway. You know the cars, just didn't know he did 'em. Flier is so cool we wanted to share it with you.
Here is the postcard of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery featuring all kinds of Hop Up kin: Tardell, Linares, Vincent...you know.
Just read the dope on the card and go.........November 6-December 20.
We got Buds jus' 'bout everywhere, but we got pics of this 'Daniel from 3 different guys! This one was among a roll of pics sent in by Ol' Early Times Buddy Dick Rundell, living in AZ now, and although the other pics divulge a ton of interesting stuff (like those N.O.S. articles you see in Gazette) we didn't know if we oughta show it. Some o' you smarmy bastards might go over there and pilfer the guys' estate. Or not. Anywho, it's amazing how many guys were really ahead of the curve, saw the future, collected before it was in vogue (it was NEVER cheap - ask 'em) and are diggin' the loot now.
Note particularly that the guys who preceeded us here (fleeting tenure) thought that those guys ought to give it up - to them - cuz the long time collectors had so much of it.
Bull Shit.
Keep it forever. The rest of us just need to have jobs, and pay the goin' rate. Shame on us for not being smart enough to know what was cool. Shame on those who think they should get shit free or easy because they are in the 'publishing' business, or are needy.
A new one from Robert Genat (Hop Up contributor) is out. This isn't the upcoming lakes one, this is "Little Deuce Coupe", a good pictorial of all kinds of 3, 5 windows, some modernish pieces, no primered ones, but we ain't all about primer, now, are we? No.
Photography and text are the usual pro stuff you expect from this guy and if they hadn't a-sent us a copy we'd a bought one. But you still can't have ours. Get yours at:
