T N' A

Y'all know about the 100 MPH Club (Bigass Banquet at B'ville). Well, the newest member is actually one of the oldest: Fred Lobello went 116 with a flathead banger in his tank in about 1949. His T shirt is on the way.

So is an article on him. Look for it in Hop Up Volume V. Oh, yeah, Daddy, the new book will be out on time...late November, so's you can buy a shitpot load of them to give to uninformed pals for Christmas. It's not like any kin of ours is gonna need a...necktie.

Back to the bangers. We toted a bunch of scrap up to Mike Smith at California HotRods to see if he could make a Banger T out of it. We reckon he can, and the progress on that, too, will be in V.

**********

Dago Wayno from Nor Cal has got his '27 R P/U ready for the flathead four season already. It will debut in Grass Valley on May 17. Next is probably the Antique Nationals Drags in Palmdale....... June 1.....then Bonneville.

You'll see the 'veritas' sticker on it, noting sponsorship.....well.......more like...... friendship!

The Ozark Speed Shark will probably make it, too. More later.

TV and KV are runnin', and we spec big thangs outa their tidy roadster.

The (Gasp) 100MPH pits ought to be worth a visit: don't know if 100 is the speed goal or .........................collective IQ?
