Just in from Dan Warner, SCTA:

Morty,

I think you will be glad to hear that the SCTA board passed a rule change to allow the V4F engines to run for records at Bonneville. In addition to removing the restriction of El Mirage only and adding new classes this move allows competitors to chose a class besides Modified Roadster to run their V4F engine.

The new classes include Blown and Unblown, Gas and Fuel for streamliners, lakesters, modified roadsters(both front and rear engined), fuel and gas roadsters, street roadsters(gas only) and Vintage Coupes and Sedans.
