TEEN-A-OLOGY: THE STUDY OF THE ORIGINAL GOWJOBS
This should be an auspicious episode…having just got back from Bonneville and all… but we’re hammerin’ on this wrung-out keyboard on about the first of August, so we flat-ass don’t know how it went at Speedweek.
We must be keyed-up cuz somebody forecast rain in the weather and we thought, “Hmmm. Never had that factored in. Thrashed our dog asses off on the push truck and thought that would be enough aggravation for us, but even with Bert doin’ all the heavy liftin’ on the racecar…..weather could have balled us up.
Here’s what happened:
We’re back. Got the Chonies but feel guilty cuz Tom and Fabe (Imortals) and Quick n’ Easy (TV and Kev) and Rustman…didn’t get in for one reason or a pack of reasons. So we won’t brag. Or strut like Mick Jagger. Or pull our shoulders waaaaaaay back. Or put our chin up and roll it around in little knowing, cocky circles.
Except when nobody’s lookin’.
Those cats will all be in the Huns sooner rather than later, anywho, so we can all cock-walk together.
But on Tuesday the rain did come, when we were fifth in line, all set, with the Hot Rod Works (Smith Bros.) tune up and Bert’s carb finesse (finesse executed with hammers?), to go kick some ass…and the storm that we pretended not to see..or feel…..or smell..came on in and slimed us real good.
