Well, pressure from the multitudes, spreading fame of the 100 MPH Club, and the base, Christian Kindness of Hop Up Management..has led to the addition of another class for C-Note underwear:
UNLIMITED TEAZER!!!!!! Shock and Awe, step back.
The considered violence of properly hopped up T motors can in fact lead to a hundred mile timing ticket and at least one of the throng has volunteered to pony-up, build a two or three cam T and go for the skivvies.
You know we’ll follow this one. (So the new rule is, Amigos Mios, that ANY T engine that is clocked at 100 will get the chauffer in to the exclusive Huns.)
Yeah, we know: we bitchin.

Lurking on the HAMB, we saw a long thread about Cragar Speed Parts and we thought somebody should have pointed out that Cragar is a contraction of the name Crane Gartz, the rich kid who started the whole thing. So we did a Google on Crane Gartz and turned up the definitive story written by (of course) Brock Yates in Car and Driver in ’93 or so .
It’s one of the most interesting eras to us, it took place literally around the corner from the Ol’ Mans garage, and it benefits from the foundings of Miller, Goosen, Richter, et.al.
And George Wight. He musta been something to behold; wish we knew more about him. Any pictures anywhere? (We see one in Urb Stair’s ‘Auto Racing Memories’. Few (other than Hop Up Guys) know that he preceded Richter.
Find it here:

BTW: Did you know that Hop Up Guy Don Small owns the tradename ‘Bell Auto Parts’? You can go to his web page and buy bitchin T shirts etc. (http://www.bellautoparts.com) He does this less for profit than because the history needs to be preserved.
