SEE AND BE SCENE (DRIP PAN)

This-here is where we run pics of iron that we get in the mail or by e mail. You know, kind of a ‘Reader’s Rides’ thing or “See and be scene”. In fact, we’ll kinda call this “See and Be Scene” !! So if you got a project or some iron you had for a long time or whatever, e mail us a look at it and hell, you too could be Fairly-Famous with 18 other really bitchin guys.

LIFE DOES IMITATE ART

image

Randy Gribble in Watertown is making art come to life; ya know, the Robert Williams painting of the rad ‘36 cab with LaSalle grille and all that jazz? See , that can’t be done in real life…..unless ya got a customer what’s a TRUE BELIEVER. He’s got the guy.

This thing’s a bitch, ain’t it????

WE LOVE THESE PLYMOUTHS

BOB WESTPHAL IN STANWOOD, WA. DID THIS ONE “LIKE I DID BACK
IN THE LATE 50’S”, SOUPED FLAT SIX

By souped, he says, “Dual carbs, split exhaust, glass packs, and scavenger pipes.” Yeah, Buddy.

Our Bro Tom Branch has got his coupe on the street again (and on the Big Hiway, too) and Brother Jerry Foreman has a sedan that we’ll show you next month if Jerry or one of his (Jake?) progeny will send us some pictures. Both of these cars of which we speak were the guys FIRST cars!
An’ then there’s Christine Barbosa, whose Mopar coupe was huz-band Eddie’s ...first car…

Ford, Plymouth, Chevrolet? The Low Priced Three provided a lot of good iron for kids to screw up, didn’t they?

GOIN’ TO KANSAS CITY..ER…DESOTO, KANSAS, THAT IS

image

John Swander has another deuce coming together. Based on his Rolling Bones Chassis, it’ll be a roadster counterpart to his Five Window: Chebbie, 5 Spd, Q.C., Schroeder steering….and if past performance is any clue…it’ll get the hard-chargin’-tour treatment from day one. Some day we’ll run with this guy.

OZROD FROM GREG STOKES

“Here are progress shots of my pick up. I have built an all new frame for the car and sat the engine on early Ford V8 rubber mounts. The engine runs a Winfield head, twin carbs, Mallory dizzy, Hallock exhaust and is backed by a T5 S10 gearbox. The front suspension features torsion bars running along the inside of the chassis. Dropped Model A axle, 47 Ford wishbones etc.”
