THIS WAS THE DRIVER FOR THE TEST DRIVE
OF THE 20 MILE MEMORIAL MODIFIED!

Rick Finch got the honor of making the inaugural drive in the 20 Mile Mod and as about 40 barbequeing celebrants watched, the dang thing nearly went straight to downtown Austin, Nevada..the short way!!! Short way..long story…just note that it all worked out OK, made for a memorable ceremony and….the brakes are AOK by now!

i would first just like to say that hop up is the coolest. in my opinion, there isnt a cooler book/mag out there when it comes to hot rods or even customs. but i guess thats becuase im into traditional hot rods, and well, so are you guys. its good stuff. and the monthly updates on the website are great also. they help pass the time between the annuals. im 17, and my dad and i restored a 28 model a roadster pickup. all stock. he has other various cars, a 32 2 door, and a 29 roadster pickup that are completed. and then the various assortment of unfinished and future projects. right now he/we are building a 31 roadster body on 32 rails with a flathead in it.

WHAT’S BETTER THAN A FATHER/SON HOTROD PROJECT? I REMEMBER SOME, MYSELF…...

38 rearend, dropped i-beam and some good patina. it should be on the road by next spring for sure. cant really take it out in the winter in michigan too much. hopefully maybe a quick first drive down the road before the snow flies. and im also kind of in the process of making a hot rod too. a roadster pickup, made with all the leftover pieces and some new pieces from the restoration project, and a 32 box on a 32 frame. and with a flathead. thats not as far as my dads though. im sendin a picture, so hopefully that’ll go. this is at one of those inspirational stages when you mock it all up so you think youre getting somewhere. now the actual wheels are on it, 40 steelies with firestones, but we just threw these on since we have the tires for the others yet. hope ya enjoy.
