The BANG-QUET will be on Monday night at Speedweek: free Hop Dawgs, brew and music - like every year. Guaranteed weather (didn’t say good or bad) and solemnly assured to be a place where there is no attitude and no puckered butts. Did we say we always do this? And that nothing will be different this year? Right: same cool people as always; best car show of the week. Y’all come.

One guaranteed new 100MPH Club guy is Harold Johanssen - who just went 116 at El Mirage. He’ll get chonies at the Bang-quet like anybody else who goes over 100 with a flathead banger.

That Hi-Tech Rascal Randude may be an inductee in to Club, too. Let’s see what he’s doin’:

“This is a low buck racing team.  #1 had a milkey oil problem, #2 ran good for about 10 minutes and then created a hole in #1 piston.  So we went with #3 and to save time we fired it off in the custom grocery cart stand and it ran great.  Be putting it in the race truck tomorrow.  You never know we might make it by August.
